Mary Engelstatter, PhD

Dr. Mary Engelstatter is Psypact accredited and has completed Safe Zone training. She can see patients residing in the following states: North Carolina, Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, North Dakota, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.

Mary is a clinical psychologist certified by the North Carolina Psychology Board. She has a master's degree in psychology from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and obtained her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Fielding Graduate University.

Mary has extensive experience working with individuals in all stages of life, and specializes in treating ADHD, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, personality disorders, and posttraumatic stress. Through the therapeutic relationship, she works to help facilitate the learning and use of new coping skills and employs a variety of evidence-based treatment modalities, including cognitive-behavioral. Mary also conducts initial evaluations and interprets psychological assessments in addition to providing therapy.

Mary believes that the therapeutic relationship is essential to bringing about effective change and she attempts to provide her patients with a warm, supportive, and empathetic environment where each person can talk freely about challenges and learn how to work through issues. Mary is passionate about meeting clients where they are and strives to work hand-in-hand with them to identify their needs.

Jonathan Marmorstein, MA, LPA

Jonathan Marmorstein, MA, LPA, is a Licensed Psychological Associate Health Services Provider certified by the North Carolina Psychology Board. He has a master's degree in psychology from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. Jonathan has recently completed Safe Zone training.

Jonathan has substantial experience working with individuals of all ages, specifically adolescence and early adulthood. His specialties include treating challenges within the military lifestyle, ADHD, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, gender and sexuality, personality disorders, and posttraumatic stress. He employs a variety of treatment modalities, including cognitive-behavioral. Jonathan also administers many different types of cognitive and personality testing protocols in addition to providing therapy.

Jonathan believes that the building of rapport through the therapeutic relationship is the key to bringing about sustained and effective change. He provides his patients with a supportive setting where each person can express themselves openly about challenges and teaches patients how to work through issues using a variety of different coping skills that works best for each person.
